The Invisible NGAFSH cd 2011

The Invisible NGAFSH is the new release from Filet of Soul a.k.a. NGAFSH (Chillin' Villain Empire / Project Blowed), presented by Isolated Wax Records. It’s sure to remain a favorite amongst longtime supporters and new fans alike.

The record takes us on a swim through an underwater gauntlet of styles, subject matter and production with an ease in technicality that can only be achieved by the man they call Fish.

The intro to the album is a mission statement, outlying the long-term agenda of this seasoned veteran. Fish pays respect to the supporters and professes that “Gotta Cumm Up” is not just a figure of speech.

As we enter the album’s chapters, we're treated to raw, no-holds-barred, hard-knock tracks like "Hazardous Material" and the aptly titled "Gon Knokk". Fish does not beat around the bush when letting listeners know what innovation sounds like, and the proper way to construct head nod material while staying sharp with the rhymes.

The lead single, "Club Girl," tells the story of a club night hook-up that reveals more about the evening's conquests than first anticipated. This track is a glowing example of Fish's ability to apply a witty take on common situations, with a flow and beat selection that tricks you, taking you to a place you weren’t expecting. Fish wastes no time letting you know "I didn't know that was YOUR girl in the club!"

On "It's So Amazing," Fish warns a homie visiting from out of town about various tricks and traps while visiting California. Fish is sure to remind his guest that while he needs to keep his eyes open, Cali is a land of fun, sun and good times. "This is Fresno" celebrates his current place of residence and reps hard for the often-overlooked Central Valley of California.

The album will also please listeners looking to sit back and ride or just cool out. Songs like "Gotta Cumm Up,” "Let's hook Up" and "Ride to This" create a smooth, sonic environment that sounds like a weekend BBQ without a cloud in the sky.

Throughout the album, Fish takes us everywhere from the street to the club to leagues below the ground. This project is unlike any other today, and is just the first of a number of records coming from NGAFSH and Isolated Wax in 2011.
