The new SUMMER EP from NGAFSH/CVE is here!
Refreshing music available on the underground hip hop scene for those who love to see folk go head to head with everything else that's out in 2009! Dat NGAFSH, Filet of Soul is on a mission to have you enjoy your summer with the new SUMMER EP, available thru i-tunes, mail-order for CD-Rs, and Nimbit. This collection of laid-back cutz designed to do two jobs:
1. Have you bang it all summer long with friends and family (6 cutz, 3 with clean versions for the kids!).
2. Give all a small preview of the solo album, "The Invisible NGAFSH" (due out Dec. '09).
The sound of this Ep is to be celebrated by all long time listeners of C.V.E. (Chillin' Villain Empire), with the first mixed and mastered CD from this infamous crew! The beatz are extremely bump-able and the rhymes are hype with features from crew members, NuveThad, Riddlore? Wreccless and T-Dubb! Music produced by up and coming phenomenon, Grim Reefah from the westside of Vancouver, CA., ATX Audio, who also mixed and mastered from Austin, TX. and Wreccless, repn ChillzVillE. Taji Uncle also let his presence be known on this Ep, voicing approvals and harmonizing hooks. Some may know of the flavor he added to the NGAFSH 2008 solo release, "Unstable Does It Again! (the party cd), now available on i-tunes. On this Ep, you have house party bumpers, hypnotizing syths, and slow grooves that bang!
This is the first installment of what is to come from this ever-developing hip hop group. They have been around for sometime now, dropping credible albums grassroots style and traveling the world. Their history can be researched thru an independent film that hit the planet by storm in 2008 entitled, "This Is The Life" (www.goodlifelove.com) produced by avid, hip hop evolutionist, Ava DuVernay. This film gives some detail to assist in the comprehension of the innovative style being displayed by this mighty (patient and humble) rap group. Having their start from South Central LA, they found many ways to express themselves outside of glorifying gangs and selling drugs, but still able to keep it street.
